THE BLUE GENE IN COCKERS
The D gene (dilute)- This gene is what is responsible for blue cockers. It will, also,
dilute all other colors but is usually only 
noticed on a black dog as it is the only 
gene that can lighten black. It seems to
be very rare in cockers.

D - non dilute (does nothing: dominant to d

d- recessive to D (in homozygous condition, it will dilute all colors
