In order to predict the color of puppies you must know the color genes of the parents
Sometimes the only way to figure this is to know the colors of the grandparents and or colors of previous puppies

 ( A=black dominant to=ay sable and at=tan points  )
( ay= sable  dominant to at=tan points  )
The first thing to remember in this series is that A=black does not produce black but allows the expression of either of the genes B=black or b=brown ( although in these charts the "A" gene is refered to as black )
