In order to predict the color of offspring you must know the color genes
of the parents
Sometimes the only way to figure this is to know the colors of the
grandparents and or colors of previous puppies
( "E"=black ( or brown )
dominant to "e"=buff
)
The first thing to remember in this series is
that E=black does not produce black and only allows the expression
of either of the genes in the "B" series
A dog that is "EE" is black ( or brown )
A dog that is "Ee" is black ( or brown )
A dog that is "ee" is buff |
