"Cagney"
"For Cagney"
You never were planned, we
hadn't a clue, but that day when
we called, they had mentioned you.
We talked it all over and
said that we'd take you, but
brought "Traci" along so the trip wouldn't shake you.
You fit right in, right from the start,
"Traci" had the brains, you had
the heart. The most perfect Mom you soon did become, giving birth to
five pups, and then the sixth one! We shared such great times, the trip
to Kent, the refridgerator incident, that sweet puppy scent,
The trip in the plane, across the vast land,
while "daddy" sold books, and
"mommy" taught band.
And then the trip back, in that truck in your house, but you
didn't mind, just as quiet as a mouse. And when we got back, you sure seemed
so glad, your yard, leaves and snow, what fun you sure had! And now it
is time for a last "good-bye," to one of our gems; it's hard not to cry.
Just know that we love you, our dear "Trina Rose," How lucky to have
you,
I'm sure heaven knows.
