UNDER THE EAR
Next I clip under the ear.  By holding the ear back against his head, you can control the puppy a little better.  They do sometimes like to move around a lot.  You just have to follow them (within reason).  This, also, helps you have more control over the clipper.   I clip the underside of the leather toward the ear canal.  This makes a clean cut.  You do not have to be absolutely perfect the first few times.  It is more getting the puppy use to the clipper and grooming.  I talk to the puppy while I am doing this.  Your voice has a calming affect on the puppy.
