Mother Pushes Pup Out Of The Nest
Usually when the mom pushes a puppy out of the nest it is because of the puppy getting cold.  If the body temperature is not what it should be she will push him out.(    and sometimes the puppy is born with a defect that you can not see and mom will just neglect it )

 a.  One way you can tell if the puppy is too cold is to place the puppy's head on your lips.  If he feels cold to your lips he is.  You need to warm this puppy up fast.       What can be done is:

 b.  put the puppy in a towel that you warmed up in the oven.  This works better than in a dryer.  Faster!   You want that towel real warm but not hot.  Place the puppy in the towel with its face out.  Continue doing this until the puppy's temperature feels right to your lip.  You may have to rewarm the towel more than once.  I keep two towels handy and while one is on the puppy I am warming up the other one.

 c.  Once the puppy has warmed up, you can put him back in with his siblings.  Keep an eye on him to make sure it is okay with mom.  Usually I just put him on a nipple with the other puppies around and watch things.

 d.  Because he had a low temperature you need to watch him so he does not have a drop in temperature again.  Make sure you are keeping the whelping box warm.
